The Allen-Bradley 160-AA02NPS1, featuring a preset speed control with 8 factory default frequencies, is a convection cooled, three-phase input AC-powered Smart Speed Controller, or SSC. It comes with a 1.1 input kVA and an output current, at maximum, of 2.3 A. At a line frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz, this controller’s input voltage is 200 to 240 Volts AC and its operational input voltage range is from 180 to 265 Volts AC. This controller also features a 20 Watt power dissipation and ½ Hp and 0.37 kW 3-phase motor output rating. The 160-AA02NPS1 also features outputs that are configurable, particularly the controller’s voltage and frequency.

The open-type, IP20 enclosure of the 160-AA02NPS1 controller allows vertical mounting on a surface that is level and even, with the use of mounting screws that have a diameter of 4.5 millimeters or less with a DIN rail mount that measures 35 millimeters, at a maximum altitude of 1000 meters or 3300 feet or less. Make sure to place this controller in an environment whose atmosphere does not contain any corrosive vapors or particles and that has a room temperature range of 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit when the controller is in use and store it in an environment with a -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit temperature range. There is also an indicator panel in front of the 160-AA02NPS1 controller with red and green LED status indicators that show the diagnostics of the controller, particularly if it is ready for operation or if it has detected a fault. The controller’s 3 terminal blocks are for the controller’s wirings, particularly for its motor and capacitor module (TB2), line power and dynamic braking (TB1), and control (TB3).
