The 160-AA03NPS1 is part of the Series “C” of Allen Bradley’s Smart Speed Controllers (SSC), designed to set the benchmark for future microdrives. This controller, as with all members of its Series, is aptly suited for small AC drive applications. Its compact and simple design helps to save money and time in integration, set-up, and maintenance of any automation system. This module’s increased productivity and throughput are a result of its fast I/O response time and a slip compensation that ensures tighter speed regulation.  Feed-through wiring (6-pole power terminals) make for easier power wiring and grounding controls. Being either panel or DIN rail attachable, this drive is well-suited for standard control panel layouts. A hinged terminal guard gives easy access to the power terminals, and with a programmable output, the drive or load conditions can be monitored via the N.O./N.C. contact, which connects to controls and indicators.

The 160-AA03NPS1 has an input voltage that is rated at 200 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz of three-phase input, 1.4 kVA, with an Open (IP20) Style of enclosure with a preset speed, an output current rating of 0.55 kW, 0.75 HP, and 3 Amps. This module is convection cooled with a power dissipation at around 25 Watts. Its AC dynamic braking torque without external dynamic brake module is 100% and with an external dynamic brake module is 233%.  The certifications included with this drive are UL, C-Tick AS/NZS2064, and C/UL, as well as the CE EMC directive.
