The Allen-Bradley 160-BA04PSF1 is a 3-phase 160 Series AC Smart Speed Controller (SSC) with an analog signal follower control and which is chassis mounted. Note that it employs an external heatsink for cooling. It is highly recommended that the user store or install the 160-BA04PSF1 controller on a flat, vertical, and even surface and in an area where corrosive substances are absent from the atmosphere. This controller is also equipped with a front ready/fault indicating panel that has LED status indicators, as well as terminal blocks specifically for the motor wiring, the line power, and the control wiring, which are available on all 160 Series controllers.

Its ambient operating temperature ranges from 0-50 °C, while its storage temperature is from -40-85 °C. The 160-BA04PSF1 controller can handle a 15 g operating shock and it can handle a 1 g operating vibration. It also has a relative humidity range of 0-95%, which is non-condensing, and a maximum operating altitude of 1000 meters or 3300 feet without derating. The 160-BA04PSF1 controller comes with input ratings of 3.7 input kVA, a voltage rating of 380-460V, a line frequency of 50-60 Hz, and an operational range of 340-506V. Its output ratings are made up of a 3-phase motor rating of 1.5 kW and 2 HP, a maximum output current of 4 A and a power dissipation of 65 W. The 160-BA04PSF1 controller also allows the user to modify its output voltage from 0V to the input voltage, as well as to modify its output frequency from 0-240 Hz.
