The Bulletin 160 Configured Drive (Smart Speed Controllers – SSC) from Allen Bradley comes in a variety of models with varying drive ratings, enclosure ratings, control models, and optional features (such as its programmable keypad module). The 160-BA06LSF1 is a low profile 380 to 460 Volt, 50 to 60 Hertz, three phase, IP20 (Open Style) enclosed analog signal follower model of the SSC Series, with an input drive rating of 5.6 kVA, 2.2 kW, and 3 HP, and an output current rating of 2.2 kW at 6.0 Amps.  The braking torque of this terminal either with or without the external brake module is 115% and 50% respectively, and the power dissipation of this unit is 77 Watts. Measuring approximately 6 inches high, 5.12 inches wide, and 5.4 inches deep, and weighing 1.1 kilograms, the drive’s compact design makes it a good choice for standard control panel layouts.

The 160-BA06LSF1, an analog signal follower model, is well suited to applications such as HVAC, Saws, vent hoods, drill presses, and injection, amongst a wide range of other applications, where analog control signals are used. The 160-BA06LSF1 has some protective features, including ground short, excessive temperature, overcurrent, faultless ride through, control ride through, output short circuit and over/under voltage. This module meets the following certifications: CE EMC; EN61800-3 (Europe); cUL; UL 5086; c-Tick; AS/NZS2064.1 and the CE low voltage certification, the EN60204-1. Some of the control features of the 160-BA06LSF1 include an IGBT switching device, I2t overload motor protection, an adjustable DC boost, an adjustable carrier frequency, three overload patterns with varying speed compensation levels, and acceleration and deceleration time ranging from 0.1 to 600 seconds.
