The 160-BA10NPS1 is a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) or Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) from Allen-Bradley’s Smart Speed Controller (SSC) series. This drive is a 3-Phase, 380-460 VAC, 50/60 Hz, rated drive with an input current of12.2 Amperes and input power of 9700 VA The output features of this drive include 3-Phase, 380-460 VAC, 3-Phase, the output frequency of 0-240 Hz which is fully programmable, an output current of 10.5 Amperes and output power of 5.0 HP or 3.73 kW. Being a 5.0 HP rated drive, the 160-BA10NPS1 does not support DIN rail mounting. It must be mounted to a flat and even surface such as an enclosure subpanel, fixed via the mounting screw holes provided on the edges of the drive. This drive has an IP20 / NEMA Type Open enclosure and uses convection cooling as the drive’s cooling method. Optional Program Keypad Module, communication modules, braking resistor, capacitor modules, and line filter module may be installed to this drive to enhance the device’s capabilities and features. The 160-BA10NPS1 is capable of Volts / Hertz (V/Hz) control which is typically used for speed control applications. The Volts/Hz ratio can be adjusted by the user which can be customized to meet the control requirements of the machine or process. In addition, the 160-BA10NPS1 is a preset-speed model drive that delivers speed commands via predefined speed parameters. With the 160-BA10NPS1, users can store up to 8-speed parameters and 2 acceleration and deceleration settings, triggered by the open collector inputs also available to the drive as control inputs.

The Allen-Bradley 160-BA10NPS1 is an AC Smart Speed Controller (SSC) from the 160 series with a variable speed drive and preset speed control, with 8 preset frequencies that can be configured by the user. It is also a 3-phase controller that is cooled via convection and it is protected by an IP20, open enclosure. When mounting this controller, be sure to do so vertically and on an even and flat surface where there are no corrosive particles in the atmosphere and by using either mounting screws that have a diameter of 4.5 millimeters maximum. Make sure to operate the 160-BA10NPS1 in an environment that has an ambient temperature that ranges from 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit and stores it in an area that has a temperature range between -40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit and that does not have any corrosive particles in the atmosphere. At a 50 to 60 Hertz frequency, the 160-BA10NPS1 controller has a 380 to 460 Volt AC input voltage rating, as well as a 340 to 506 Volt AC input operational range. This SSC has a 10.5 A and its three-phase motor rating is 5 HP and 3.7 kW.
