Manufactured by Rockwell Automation, the 160-BA10NSF1P1 is a variable speed drive, controlled by microprocessor, from the Series “C” of Allen Bradley’s Smart Speed Controllers (SSC) Among the features of the 160-BA10NSF1P1 is its compact design, noiseless operation, programming option via a programming keypad module, its microprocessor operated functionality, feed-through wiring, IGBT (Intelligent Power Module) technology, ready/fault indicating panel, and fault/ready indicator LEDs. The 160-BA10NSF1P1 has a cooling fan to maintain an operating ambient temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, as well as DC bus test points, a hinged finger guard, a terminal block one (TB1) for line power, a terminal block two (TB2) for motor wiring, and terminal block three (TB3) for control wiring and ground tab/protective earth.

The 160-BA10NSF1P1 Series “C” AC Drive has a Motor Rating of 3.73 kW per 5Hp, and Input voltage of 380 to 460 Volts at 12.2 A and 50 to 60 Hertz, 9700 VA. Its Output ratings include 380 to 460 Volts at 10.5 A with 0 to 240 Hertz. This module has an analog signal follower IP20 (Open Style) while its power dissipation is 120 Watts. The 160-BA10NSF1P1 drive has a program keypad module situated on its front panel.  It powers up always in the Display Mode to view and read-only all of the drives parameters; by pressing the ESCape key, the user can enter into this module’s program mode. In this program mode, any of the drive’s programmable parameters can be changed. The keypad module has three keys for controlling inputs. It also has directional LEDs (clockwise and counterclockwise) and function keys (ESCape, Select, up and down arrow keys, Enter, Reverse, Start and Stop keys), which are used for programming and displaying controller parameters as well as for controlling inputs to the controller. Some optional drive features for the 160-BA10NSF1P1 include a remote programming adapter for connection to a Copycat or remote keypad module, a line filter module for reducing emissions, a capacitor module for connecting an external capacitor module, a DeviceNet communication module to control and monitor parameters via a DeviceNet network, RS-232 communication module for also monitoring and controlling parameters through a RS-232 network and a 24DC interface module.
