The 160S-AA04PSF1 is a compact variable speed drive from Allen Bradley. It belongs to the 160 Smart Speed Controller series that’s used for single-phase induction AC motors. A microprocessor controls the performance of the drive, and users can program it for different applications. It is an analog signal follower model that comes with 0.75 kW and 1 HP. It has an output current rating of 4.5A.

The drive alone weighs around 0.94 kilograms, although the chassis mount will add around 7.26 kilograms to the total weight. The overall dimensions of the drive with the chassis mount are 175 millimeters in width by 210 millimeters in height by 43.7 millimeters in depth. The package comes with a drilling template to make the installation process easier. The 160S-AA04PSF1, just like other 160 Smart Speed Controller drives, has Electrostatic Discharge sensitive parts. When installing, servicing, repairing, or testing the system, make sure to observe proper static control precautions. The drive also has high voltage capacitors that can store energy after removing the power source, so wait for at least one full minute to ensure the capacitors are already at safe voltage levels.
