The 1394C-SJT05-C GMC offers all the functionalities of the IMC S class power conversion and compact motion controller within the 1394 system module. The 1394C-SJT05-C (Standard GMC) system module also supports four axis modules and provides four auxiliary encoder input channels.
This standard module provides 32 k of program memory with a 16-bit processor. It also involves a direct and high-speed link to the SLC controller. This link is useful in racking which simplifies the programming required to transfer data between the system module and the SLC controller.
The system module has a remote I/O (RIO) and axis links available as communication options.
If the total capacitance of the bus exceeds the leader IAM pre-charging rating, the IAM seven segment will display an error code. Generally, in such conditions, the error code E90 will appear, which indicates a pre-charge time-out fault, if the input power is applied. To resolve this, the user must either replace the leader IAM with a larger module or decrease the total bus capacitance by removing the axis module. Its dimensions are 13.8 x 11.0 x 5.91 inches (350 x 280 x 150 millimeters) and it weighs 23.5 pounds (10.68 kilograms).
