The Allen-Bradley 4100-202-R IMC S Class Compact Motion controller is a rugged and compactly-built microprocessor-based double axis servo motion controller with a remote I/O adapter option, and a serial communication port which provides logic and programmable control for a wide range of applications. This servo motion controller provides 2 axes of closed looped point-to-point positioning profile, with electronic gearing which allows for the slaving of any of the axes to another in a defined ration, and it uses the Graphical Motion Control Language (GML) for application programming. This basic motion controller has an input voltage range of 90 to 132 Volts AC or 175 to 264 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz, with an input current of 3 Amps, and it has an I/O input voltage range of 5 to 40 Volts DC. The 4100-202-R has 2 isolated voltage or current analog servo output, with an output range of ±10 Volts DC or ±150 mA, and an output resolution of 16 bits.
The 4100-202-R has 10 dedicated optically isolated (5 per axis) discrete inputs with 24 Volts DC operating voltage at 12 mA input for the ON current and 5 milliseconds for the response time. The 4100-202-R also has 4 normally-open dedicated discrete output contacts with 0.010 to 40 Volts DC and a 1-Amp operating voltage and current, and it can be configured for the drive (amplifier) enable and the absolute position strobe output functions. This motion controller is designed with a 16 MegaHertz Intel 80960SB processor, with about 2000 user-defined variables stored as 64-bit floating point numbers, and it has a battery-backed, write-protected Random Access Memory (RAM) for storing application programs. The 4100-202-R has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (–32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) at up to 95% non-condensing maximum relative humidity, and it has a storage range of –40 to 70 degrees Celsius (–40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit).
