The 2097-V31PR2 is a Kinetix 300 Ethernet I/P Indexing servo drive by Allen-Bradley. This drive is used to interface with servo motors to implement linear and rotary motion control. It supports the implementation of motion over ethernet I/P and is capable of indexing functions. This drive has an input supply voltage rating of 120 / 240 VAC, 1-Phase, 50-60 Hz with a continuous output current of 5.7 Amperes. The 2097-V31PR2 is provided with Twelve (12) inputs that are configurable to accept external signals from travel limit switches, push buttons manual switches, and proximity sensors. Configurable input parameters include abort and start Homing, abort and start Index, fault reset, home sensor, and index selection. These inputs are arranged in Three (3) groups with Four (4) inputs per group. Each group is provided with a dedicated common such as ACOM, BCOM, and CCOM. With motion over Ethernet I/P, the 2097-V31PR2 can be integrated with CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers that support such functions. The drive’s ethernet interface supports a transmission rate of 10/100 Mbps at a maximum distance of 100 m per ethernet I/P segment. The 2097-V31PR2 also supports hardwired Safe-Torque Off (STO) functionality that is certified for use in safety applications up to and including ISO 13849-1 performance level d (PLd) safety category 3. STO functionality is enabled via the provided Safe-Torque Off (STO) connector mounted on the drive’s front panel.
The 2097-V31PR2 Kinetix 300 Ethernet/IP Indexing Servo Drive is a single-phase cost-effective servo drive by Allen-Bradley with EtherNet capability, used for control of industrial servo motors. It has a selectable input voltage range of 70 to 132V and 80 to 264V (single-phase) with nominal voltage at 120V (Doubler mode) and 240V at an input frequency of 48 to 62Hz. The 2097-V31PR2 also has a selectable input current of 15A (nom) at 120V and 8.6A at 240Vm with a surge of 1.15A and 1.1A at 120V and 240V. It has a backup control voltage of 20 to 26V DC, with a backup current of 500mA, and a maximum surge of 30A, and is built without an AC line filter. It has an output current of 2A, which peaks at 6A, and it has a power output of 0.4KW at 240V AC. The 2097-V31PR2 is built with an internal shunt, with 390-375V DC shunt ON/OFF voltage, and it offers 430V DC overvoltage protection with 100,000 ARMS symmetrical short circuit limit. The drive requires an I/O terminal expansion block, a memory module, a memory module programmer, and a 40 Ohms, 3.8KW passive external shunt resistor. The drive is fused with the 120V AC, 20A KTK-R-20 Bussman fuse, and it offers short circuit protection using the 120V AC-rated circuit breaker (1492-SP1D200), and the 120V AC fully-rated circuit breaker (140M-F8E-C20). It also uses the 120V and 240V AC contactor and requires a 750VA, 460V AC external transformer with an output rating of 20 to 240V AC. The 2097-V31PR2 has an operational temperature range of 0 to 40 ° C (32 to 104 deg. F) at 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity range and it has a maximum installation height of 1500m (4921ft) without de-rating. It weighs 1.5Kg (3.3lb), and has dimensions of 238mm x 185mm x 68.0mm (9.3in x 7.29in x 2.68in).
