The Kinetix 300 series is a series of EtherNet/IP indexing servo drives by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The 2097 Kinetix indexing servo drives are made to allow for the standardization of a system on 1 communication network, enabling effortless and seamless commissioning, startup, and configuration processes. The entire control system, including the human-machine interfaces (HMIs), controllers, I/Os, and motion devices, should be integrated over the EtherNet/IP network to maintain a stable, reliable, and high-speed connectivity. Some features of the Kinetix 300 indexing servo drives include a continuous output power of 400 Watts to 3 kilowatts, an input voltage range of 115 to 240 Volts AC for single-phase operation and 230 to 480 Volts AC for 3-phase operation. These drives support up to 5 different index types and a maximum of 32 indices. They feature a memory module that is essential for automatic device replacement. They are programmable by the RSLogix 5000 programming software through the add-on profiles or the Studio 5000 Logix Designer application software. 

The Kinetix 300 indexing servo drives integrate seamlessly with the CompactLogix controllers as part of the integrated architecture system, and they are also compatible with the MP Series as well as TL Series actuators and servo motors. Additionally, these servo drives come with additional built-in safety features, such as the safe torque-off feature, which is certified by the ISO 13849-1 PLd/SIL2 standards. This functionality requires an external safety relay to meet the EN954-1 and Category 3 standards, and it helps to protect the drives from restarts, especially after the safety circuit trips.
