The Allen-Bradley 2094-AM02-S is a part of the Kinetix 6000 multi-axis servo drive family with an embedded safe torque-off functionality. This feature is ISO 13849-1 PLe/SIL3-certified with a response time of less than 25 milliseconds. When the circuit is tripped, the drive output is disabled. This removes the motor torque without shutting down the entire machine. A flexible solution for demanding motion applications, the 2094-AM02-S axis module offers advanced control capabilities in a compact package. Its modular design simplifies layout, promoting fast and easy mounting, configuration, operation, and diagnostics. Ideal applications for these safety drives include material handling, converting, packaging, and assembly. The 200 Volt-class 2094-AM02-S comes with a nominal 3.4 kW continuous power output, 230 Volts voltage rating, and 15 Amps INV continuous current (RMS). Do not install it in areas where the ambient temperature exceeds 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit). Following the IAM module setup at the leftmost slot, up to 7 2094-AM02-S modules can be mounted on each 8-axis power rail. Mount these modules according to continuous power value (kW) or power utilization from highest to lowest (left to right).

This method enables multiple configurations available within the partner controller which can be loaded to the drive anytime depending on the state of the program. This eliminates the need to manually configure the drive to changes parameters. This can be predefined within the user program.

To install a Kinetix 6000 assembly, the module with the highest power utilization must be installed on the left most portion followed by the module with lesser power utilization. A kinetix 6000 assembly typically consists of a Power rail, Integrated Axis Module (IAM), IPM module, One or more Axis modules (AM), Shunt module and a slot filler which is used to cover a vacant slot.

The 2094-AM02-S has power dissipation of 34 Watts @ 20% utilization; 45 Watts @ 40%; 57 Watts @ 60%; 70 Watts @ 80% and 84 Watts @ 100%. This Axis module is a 200VAC class Axis Module with continuous current of 15 A and continuous output power of 3.4 kW. It has an efficiency of 98% and short-circuit current rating of 200,000 A (rms) symmetrical and integrated Safe Torque-off feature.
