2094-BM01

The Allen-Bradley 2094-BM01 is a Kinetix 6000 Axis Module. This axis module is available in Series A, B and C, which introduces differences with the drive’s peak current output, rms and 0-pk outputs. Specifically, Series A 2094-BM01 has a peak current (rms) of 9.2 Amperes and peak output current (0-pk) of 12.9 Amperes while Series B and C drives has a peak current (rms) of 15.3 Amperes and peak output current (0-pk) of 21.6 Amperes.

The 2094-BM01’s input voltage is 324-528V rms, 3-phase while the nominal voltage level is 360 / 480V. The velocity loop bandwidth frequency is 500 Hz and current loop bandwidth frequency is 1300 Hz while Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Frequency is 8 kHz. Aside from the mentioned output current ratings, the 2094-BM01 has a continuous output power of 3.9 kW.

The 2094-BM01 come with an internal shut resistor rated 115 ?. It has an efficiency of 98%, Capacitance of 150 ?F, Capacitive energy absorption of 19 J and Short-circuit current rating of 200,000 A (rms) symmetrical.

When installing this axis module, the required minimum clearances must be followed. Specifically, 50.8 (2.0 in.) clearance below drive for airflow and installation and 285 mm or 11.2 in. Clearance above for airflow and installation as well. Side clearances are not required. The installation cabinet must offer a minimum depth of 272 mm or 10.7 in. To reduce electrical noise, High-Frequency (HF) bonding may be applied. This practice basically connects the metal chassis, assemblies, frames, shields, and enclosures to lessen the effect of electromagnetic interference (EMI).

The base configuration of any configured Kinetix 6000 system consists of a common DC bus supply and multiple Bulletin 2094 axis modules that are connected through the DC bus bars. The 2094-BM01 has a compact housing which makes it particularly suitable for use with small machines. The module is bus supplied with 650 Volts DC and it can produce 3.9 kW at the output side. It is capable of exchanging digital signals that are 230 Volts AC rated. The Allen-Bradley 2094-BM01 is engineered with Ethernet and SERCOS communication slots for quickly connecting to centralized automation systems. They interact with PLCs and provide powerful tools for packaging machines and other types of machines, where large numbers of drives are often required to give significant advantages to machine systems. The housing of the drive is IP20 rated, and it is cooled by an internal fan. The thermistor installed inside of the housing will raise the temperature alarm if it senses temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius. This thermistor will stop the module and the motor connected to it. The Allen-Bradley 2094-BM01 module’s approximate weight is 2.49 kilograms (5.5 pounds). Its continuous current rating is 6.1 Amps, and the peak current is 8.6 Amps. These current ratings are achieved in high-speed operation. For constant velocity operation, these current values are reduced.
