The 2094-BMP5-M is part of the Kinetix 6200 motion control series by Allen-Bradley. This is a multi-axis module with a bus input voltage of 650 VDC and a control input voltage of 95-264 VAC, 1-phase. This axis module has a continuous output current (rms) of 2.8 Amperes, continuous current (sine) of 4.0 Amperes (0-pk), a peak current of 7.0 Amperes (rms), and a peak current of 9.9 Amperes (0-pk). This module has an output voltage of 0-480 VAC, 3-phase, the output frequency of 0-800 Hz, and continuous output power of 1.8 kW. The 2094-BMP5-M has a maximum short circuit current rating of 200,000 Amperes. This axis module has integrated motion capability via the Serial Real-Time Communication System (SERCOS) interface via the installation of the SERCON control interface module. The 2094-BMP5-M axis module is provided with a motor cable shield clamp, 3-pin phoenix-style motor power connector labeled U, V, W, and ground. It also has a 6-pin phoenix style connector for termination of the motor brake at terminals 5 and 6; Input power at terminals 3 and 4 and a dynamic braking unit at terminals 1 and 2. The axis module’s front panel is installed with a power-applied LED indicator that depicts the presence of a power supply. The 2094-BMP5-M has a velocity loop frequency of 500 Hz and a Current loop frequency of 1300 Hz while the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequency is 8 kHz. It has an internal shunt resistor of 115 Ohms with a shunt on a voltage of 805 VDC and a shunt-off voltage of 765 VDC. It contains a 5A inverter section and requires one control module that must be used with an IAM power module. It has dimensions of 5.5 x 11.9 x 14.7 inches and weighs 13 lbs. The 2094-BMP5-M drive is designed to provide Integrated Motion capability for motor or drive applications. The drive can easily transition from Safe Torque Off to Safe Speed Monitor and from the SERCOS interface to the EtherNet/IP networks. It is compatible with the Kinetix 6000 servo drive which allows easy migration whenever needed. The drive’s embedded safety features remove the need for wiring from an external safety monitor. The Safe Speed Monitor functionality allows for maintenance work without completely stopping the machine. The 2094-BMP5-M drive’s modular design and embedded safety features provide easy maintenance and greater flexibility. It also simplifies wiring reduces spare parts inventory and can be modified with advancing technology. It reduces downtime energy and production waste and improves operating efficiency with its Safe Speed feature. Its embedded advanced safety features also help protect personnel. Other safety feature includes Safe Maximum Speed, Safe Maximum Acceleration Monitoring, Safe Direction Monitoring, Zero Speed Monitoring, Enabling Switch Control, and Door Monitoring and Control. It has enhanced diagnostic features that tell the nature of a fault by displaying error messages.
