The MPAS-A9152K-ALMS2C linear actuator is an MPAS series linear actuator that converts one type of energy into a type of motion. It is generally used to create a force for different applications. This specific model has been designed and distributed by Allen-Bradley. This actuator works with a pneumatic piston that performs movements in order to create force. The mechanical type is a direct-drive mechanical type that comes with a frame size of 9. The Allen-Bradley MPAS-A9152K-ALMS2C MPAS series linear actuator has a voltage line class range of 200 Volts and a frame size of 250 millimeters. This size is the base width.
The MPAS-A9152K-ALMS2C linear actuator can be installed and mounted in 3 different ways. One of them is inverted surface mounting (mounting on the ceiling), but this way is not usually recommended since it can cause failures due to the position of the actuator. Another one consists of horizontal mounting (mounting on the wall), and if this way is used, the measurements need to be properly taken since inaccurate measurements could lead to premature cable failure. The last method is the vertical or inclined method for mounting on a wall, and in this position, the drive will not maintain the movement if power is removed due to gravitation. The Allen-Bradley MPAS-A9152K-ALMS2C MPAS series linear actuator requires a rigorous maintenance plan, based on a 6-month gap. This actuator needs to be lubricated and its seals need to be cleaned. If more than one part is damaged and loose, these will need to be replaced immediately in order to avoid problems or any inconvenience during operations. This actuator needs to be installed in a place with sufficient clearances around it to minimize heat generation.
