Allen Bradley MPAS Actuators

The MPAS actuators are Allen-Bradley MP series integrated linear stages that are designed and intended to provide the high performance and high levels of reliability of the MP series servo motor technology to ball-screw actuators along with direct-drive linear slide actuators. The linear stages are made to be used in offensive, high-output industrial automation applications instead of in high-accuracy workroom settings. Items including cable tracks as well as strip seals that wear out can quickly be changed in a matter of minutes and this helps to minimize downtime on the machine. Since the MPAS actuators come as fully integrated motors/actuators and they are supported by the Motion Analyzer software as well as Studio 5000 Logix Designer application software, the amount of time necessary for the mechanical design, setup, programming, and installation processes is radically reduced. The MPAS Actuators or the MP series integrated linear stages are specifically engineered to provide support for heavy loads and to endure moment loads. They are especially suitable for high-precision applications and for use in hygienic environments. These actuators are designed with a ball screw along with the linear motor technology.

Some features of the MPAS actuators include full setup as well as programming support via the RSLogix 5000 software version 20 or earlier. These modules also come with an integrated linear stage actuator type, direct-drive linear motor versions that offer speeds of up to 5 meters per second, and ball screw-driven versions for high forces with the absolute multi-turn feedback. Additionally, these actuators are available in different frame sizes including 150, 200, and 250 millimeters, for both 230 Volts and 460 Volts input voltage ratings. In addition to the general MP series integrated linear actuators, other MPAS actuators include integrated linear thrusters, Kinetix cables, VP and MP series electrical cylinders, MP series heavy-duty electrical cylinders, and MP series integrated multi-axis actuators.
