The Allen-Bradley 22B-D010N104 is a PowerFlex 40 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive. This device is mainly utilized to implement speed control of an AC motor as well as contribute to lowered power consumption. Adjustable AC Frequency Drives are more commonly known as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and Variable Speed Drives (VSD).

The 22B-D012N104 has a supply voltage requirement of 342-528 VAC, 3-phase, input current of 14.2 Amperes and kVA rating of 11.8 kVA. The output capabilities of this VFD are output power of 5.5 kW or 7.5 HP and Current of 12.0 Amperes. The 22B-D012N104 features Sensorless Vector control (SVC) capability. With Sensorless Vector, high-starting Torque with excellent speed regulation can be achieved. It is also capable of Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) algorithm, allowing it to implement automatic control of an analog control loop.

The 22B-D012N104 is provided with an embedded Human Interface Module (HIM) that may be used to locally monitor and control the device. It provides readout of parameters as well as diagnostic and operational conditions. The 22B-D012N104 has built-in I/O channels that permits termination of external signals to remotely control the adjustable Frequency Drive. It also has an embedded RS485 communication interface that allows networked connection of drives for remote monitoring and control.

The 22B-D012N104 AC Drive has an integral keypad that allows input using control keys and local potentiometer. Drive information and status can be checked through the 4 digit display with extra LED indicators. Plus, a handheld LCD keypad or remote provides additional control flexibility. The CE-marked 22B-D012N104 meets UL specifications and comes with CE, C-Tick, cUL, and RoHS certifications. Its Class 10 motor overload rating is 200% for 3 seconds, and 150% for 1 minute. The ground fault protection feature ensures reliable operation from start to the motor running phase. Its overcurrent safeguards include 200% hardware limit and 300% instantaneous fault. To prevent drive damage, the removable MOVS must be disconnected when installed on an ungrounded system where line-to-ground voltage could exceed 125%.The 22B-D012N104 has a power input rating of 342-528V AC and 25 fuses.
