The 22B-D1P4C104 is a three-phase drive that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The drive is classified under the PowerFlex 40 drive series and it comes with a frequency rating of 50 to 60 Hertz. The 22B-D1P4C104 features a voltage rating of 480 Volts AC and comes with the panel mounted IP66 NEMA or UL type 4X enclosure. The 22B-D1P4C104 enclosure type allows for mounting of the module directly in the production environment. This is an enclosure that is listed to be resistant to dust and dirt and therefore allows the 22B-D1P4C104 to survive in harsh industrial environments. The 22B-D1P4C104 comes with a 0.5 Horsepower capacity featuring a current rating of 1.4 Amps. The 3-phase drive has no CE compliant filter and it comes with the integral RS-485 communication type.

The integral RS-485 communication is used for programming the 22B-D1P4C104 from a PC and it is also a good feature for multiple drop network configurations. The handheld LCD keypad offers the 22B-D1P4C104 additional programming and controls flexibility. The 22B-D1P4C104 comes with a 4-digit display with 10 additional LED indicators that provide an intuitive display of the drive’s status. The 22B-D1P4C104’s programming keys offer a similar functionality to other PowerFlex 40 drives and so if the users program one PowerFlex drive, they can do the same on other drives. The PowerFlex 40 drives come with a removable MOV-to-ground that offers trouble-free operation when being used on ungrounded distribution systems. The 22B-D1P4C104 comes with a relay pre-charge limit inrush current and it also features the integral brake transistor that is available on all the drive ratings.
