The 22B-D2P3F104 is a PowerFlex 40 adjustable frequency AC drive. The main purpose of utilizing this electronic equipment is to enable modulating speed control of an AC motor. Equally important factors in utilizing this includes energy and consumption saving and improved control accuracy and efficiency. This drive is rated IP20, Flange Mount drive.

The 22B-D2P3F104 controls speed via the Sensorless Vector Control method. This control method is a popular drive control technology wherein aside from speed control, output Torque may also vary across the drive’s operating speed range. It also provides high starting torque which make the drive compatible for use not only in general purpose applications but for lifting, conveying and similar applications with varying loads.

The input voltage supply requirement of the 22B-D2P3F104 is 342-528, 3-phase with applicable motor output of 2.3 A and Power of 0.75 kW (1.0 HP). It comes with a fixed keypad and LCD, which provide controller local interface and monitoring capability. This keypad may be replaced with a remote mounted or remoted handheld Human Interface Module (HIM) to allow slightly remote operation and configuration of the drive. The PowerFlex 40 is one of the smallest and most cost-effective members of the PowerFlex family of drives. This family of drives is available in 0.25 to 15 Horsepower ratings and in multiple voltage classes including 120, 240, 480 and 600 Volts AC voltage classes. A 4-digit LCD is also available on the drive and it provides a drive status display. The drive contains an RS-485 interface for programming from a PC.

The drive supports sensorless vector control, which provides exceptional speed regulation and high torque levels across the entire speed range. The autotune feature allows the drive to adapt to individual motor characteristics. The 22B-D2P3F104 drive comes in an open flange mount enclosure with an IP 20 rating. The maximum recommended altitude for drive installation is 1000 meters. At higher altitudes, the drive derates. The recommended temperature range for drive storage is from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and the recommended temperature range for drive operation is from -10 to 50 degrees Celsius.
