The Allen-Bradley 22F-D024N104 is an adjustable Frequency AC drive. This drive belongs to the PowerFlex 4M drives that is designed for use in a variety of industrial applications. It is mainly used to control the speed of an AC motor by varying the drive’s output frequency.

The 22F-D024N104 features an input voltage requirement of 380-480VAC, 3-phase. This drive is designed to deliver an output voltage of 0-460VAC, 3-Phase, output Current of 24.0 A and output Power of 11.0 kW (15.0 HP). This drive has a removable MOV to ground to ensure operation even in ungrounded applications, a relay pre-charge that limits inrush current and integrated braking resistor for dynamic braking requirement.

The 22F-D024N104 also has an integral RS485 communication interface, enabling the drive to be connected in multi-drop configuration. It also supports installation of communication adapters such that support a variety of protocols such as DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS DP, LonWorks, BACnet and, ControlNet communication protocol.

When mounting this drive, the required minimum panel thickness is 1.9 mm (0.0747 in.). Minimum mounting top and bottom clearance is 76.2 mm (3.0 in.). This clearance applies to any object that may obstruct natural air flow for drive cooling. This drive has an enclosure of rating of IP20, NEMA/UL Type Open. The drive’s required operating temperature is -40° to +85°C.

It has an IP20 NEMA/UL open type enclosure and Integral RS-485 communication. An integral LCD keypad or a remote keypad can be installed to this for configuration and operation of the drive.
