The Allen-Bradley 25B-D010N114 is a PowerFlex 525 adjustable Frequency Drive. This device is a motor control equipment, used mainly to perform basic motor operation, regulate its speed and implement protective and energy consumption functions.

This adjustable frequency drive is more commonly called as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) or Variable Speed Drives or inverters by other personnel. This drive is operated by providing a supply voltage to ints input terminals with voltage range of 380-480VAC, 3-phase. It delivers output current and power towards the motor, Output ratings include 0-460VAC, 3-Phase, with rated Current of 10.5 A and Power of 4.0 kW (5.0 HP) for.

For basic motor control, this drive is able to command the motor to Start / Stop; Forward / Reverse / Jog;. It’s output frequency can be varied to regulate the motor. The output frequency range of this drive is 0-500 Hz which is fully programmable. It implement speed regulation via a variety of selectable control methods such as Volts / Hertz, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Closed loop velocity vector control and Permanent Magnet motor control method. With these control methods, Torque control is also possible to implement.
