The Allen-Bradley 20AC011A3AYNAECN AC drive belongs to the PowerFlex 70 family of AC drives. This 3-phase drive generates a current of 11.5 Amps that is enough to control 5.5 kW (7.5 Horsepower) rated motors. The input voltage rating of this module is 400 Volts. A basic set of the parameters that the users are most likely to encounter and use are logically arranged and intuitive. This helps in rapid drive programming and commissioning.
The Allen-Bradley 20AC011A3AYNAECN offers 3 types of control, but the most popular one is the Volts per Hertz method. The output torque for a motor is related to the ratio of the motor’s applied voltage and applied frequency. This is commonly referred to as the V/Hz ratio. For example, an AC motor rated for 400 Volts AC and 50 Hertz would have an 8.00 V/Hz ratio. This ratio must be maintained because if it is not, it will affect the motor’s torque, speed, noise level, temperature, and current in a bad way. For a motor to produce its rated torque across multiple speeds, it is necessary to regulate the voltage and THE frequency supplied to the motor. The Allen-Bradley 20AC011A3AYNAECN supports the Zero Stacking option that minimizes wasted space between the drives. There are 24 Volts DC rated input and output digital signals available on this drive. They are usually used for the “stop,” “start,” and “reverse” operations of the motor. One integral communication card is supported which is an Ethernet card. It can be used to configure the drive’s connection to a network and to improve machine performance.
