The Allen-Bradley 20AD014A3AYYANC0 PowerFlex 70 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive is high-performance with enhanced motor control options designed to provide high precision torque and speed control in a wide variety of applications ranging from simple fans to extruders. All PowerFlex 70 drives come with a standard brake transistor which provides an effective yet cheap form of switching the drive’s regenerative energy, and in addition to the brake transistor, this drive comes with an optional internal resistor brake, designed to provide high braking over a short duration. The 20AD014A3AYYANC0 has a voltage class of 480 Volts AC, with 14 Amps of nominal drive rating, and an output power of 10 Horsepower. This drive features excessive temperature control, 15 milliseconds of faultless ride-through, ground fault detection, ground fault protection, protection against line spikes, BUS overvoltage and under voltage regulation, and programmable current limiting action. It offers enhanced motor control options, and it can be programmed for either Vector control (suitable for high torque and speed control) or the Sensorless Vector control (delivers high torque over a wide speed range).

It is not fitted with an encoder feedback device, but it is capable of delivering 0.1% speed regulation with slip compensation and it has digital control accuracy within ±0.01% of the set output frequency. The 20AD014A3AYYANC0 comes with a dynamic brake transistor which provides cheap braking, and it also has a space-saving dynamic brake resistor which provides high torque-braking over a short period. It has an EMC class line filtering designed to meet the CE standards, and it features PI controls, which provide single-loop control, and this eliminates the need for separate process loop controller.
