The 20AD022A3NYNAENN is a digital drive designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is part of the Powerflex 70 series of drives. It is an adjustable frequency AC drive with standard controls. The drive is housed inside an IP20 certified NEMA/UL Type 1 enclosure. The IP20 certified enclosure does not protect the drive against water or excessive amounts of dust. It is only protected against human contact and objects greater than 12 millimeters in size. The voltage supply to operate this drive is 480 Volts AC and it requires 22 Amps of current. The rated power output for this drive is 15 Horsepower. The 20AD022A3NYNAENN drive can be mounted using a panel mounting base. It has a D Frame body and it is a 3-phase device. For controlling the drive, the drive has an IGBT braking system installed but it does not have a braking resistor. The safe torque-off feature is also not present in this drive. The drive lacks a feedback device for passing the feedback information on to the users.

The 20AD022A3NYNAENN uses an Ethernet/IP adapter for communication with other add-ons and peripheral devices. For cooling the drive, it uses a fan which operates when power is applied or when the drive is in the running condition. The air temperature should be maintained between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius. The drive should also be ventilated properly so that the air flows properly through the heatsink and the drive. The air temperature at the inlet should also match the specified temperature. The 20AD022A3NYNAENN uses a power ride thru of 15 milliseconds at a full load and a logic control ride thru at a minimum of 0.5 seconds. It trips for ground fault and short circuits to protect the drive. A heatsink thermistor is used to trip for an excessive temperature and it is monitored by using a microprocessor. The drive has been certified with different drive certifications like the RCM, CE, EAC, and the ABS.
