The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 20AD040A3AYNAECN is an AC drive with an EtherNet/IP port. The EtherNet/IP provides a communication link which makes it easy to interconnect industrial automation devices. Being a globally accepted networking protocol, the EtherNet/IP network allows for the interoperability of devices from different vendors. The 20AD040A3AYNAECN has a Horsepower rating of 30 Horsepower and an apparent power rating of 22 Kilowatts. The drive, as with other PowerFlex 70 drives, is subject to 3 major types of drive faults. These are the Auto-reset run fault, the non-resettable fault, and the user-configurable fault. With an auto-reset run fault, the drive tries to automatically reset itself once the set timer counts down to zero.
With this fault, the 20AD040A3AYNAECN must be in the run mode. The non-resettable fault has to be manually corrected before the drive or motor continues to function. This fault is only able to be cleared by reapplying power to the drive or the motor once the fault has been cleared. The user-configurable fault is one that the users configure to ignore a fault condition. Apart from a fault, the 20AD040A3AYNAECN has alarms which warn of an impending fault in the drive or the motor. When the alarm is ignored for a certain amount of time, the drive stops running. The alarm can either be user-configurable or non-configurable (always enabled). The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 20AD040A3AYNAECN contains an IGBT brake but it does not have an internal brake resistor. A feedback encoder is not applicable to the drive. The planning, installation, and servicing of the of the 20AD040A3AYNAECN must be performed by qualified personnel to avoid equipment damage and personal injury.
