The Allen-Bradley 20AD5P0A0AYYNDNN PowerFlex 70 adjustable frequency AC drive is available with ratings of 3 Horsepower of output at 480 Volts AC input voltage for normal duty operation and 2 Horsepower of output at 480 Volts AC input voltage for heavy-duty. The drive is used with a 3-phase input power supply to offer a full power rating. It has an IP 20 (NEMA/UL Type 1) enclosure type, which requires the PowerFlex 70 drive series to be mounted in a vertical orientation to restrict airflow between  the chassis and heatsink of the drive. When mounting the drive, it is recommended not to use spacers or standoffs, and the inlet air temperature must be maintained at in range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit).

The standard control drive offers sensorless vector control and Volts per Hertz control, with 480 Volts AC power at 60 Hertz. The Allen-Bradley 20AD5P0A0AYYNDNN PowerFlex 70 adjustable frequency AC drive has an instruction manual and it comes with 2 types of dynamic brake circuits, including the transistor and the insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT). The PowerFlex 70 AC drive series can tolerate an operating temperature between 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) and a storage temperature between -40 to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). Also, the drives in this series have a noncondensing humidity range from 5% to 95%, a vibration rating of 0.152 millimeters (0.006 inches) of displacement and 1 G peak, and a shock of 15 G peak for 11 milliseconds duration.
