The Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley 20AD5P0F3AYNANNN is a motor controller with a user adjustable frequency. The controller has an input voltage of 480 Volts AC at a frequency of 60 Hertz. The 20AD5P0F3AYNANNN has a numeric Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) which is used to monitor and troubleshoot the drive and all the devices connected to the drive. An LCD human-machine interface module displays parameters in either a numbered list or in a file group. The difference between these 2 modes is that the file-group mode displays parameters bundled together in terms of how they are related while the numbered list displays parameters numerically. The 20AD5P0F3AYNANNN does not need a feedback encoder and neither does it need a communication slot.

The drive is supplied with an English manual. The manual, among other things, describes how to observe the best safety precautions, how to use the drive for optimum performance, and how to maintain the 20AD5P0F3AYNANNN. The drive, as with other PowerFlex 70 drives, supports 2 start-up routines which are the S.M.A.R.T start and the Assisted Startup. The S.M.A.R.T mode allows for the configuration of the commonly changed parameters. These parameters enable the setting up of Start Mode and Stop Mode (S), the Minimum and Maximum Speed (M), the Acceleration Time 1 and Deceleration Time 1 (A), the Reference Source (R), and the Thermal Motor Overload (T). On the other hand, with the Assisted startup routine, before the 20AD5P0F3AYNANNN starts running, the users are prompted to feed information to the drive. This information can range from a line and motor data and commonly adjusted parameters. Note that previous programming can affect how the drive behaves when the power is applied.
