The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-009X is a Servo Drive from the Ultra 100 Series. This drive comes with selectable input and outputs. Configurable digital inputs are Drive Mode Select, Integrator Inhibit, Follower Enable, Forward Enable, Reverse Enable, Operation Mode Override, Preset Selects, Start Index, Define Home, Remove Command Offset, and Start Homing Sensor. For digital outputs, the configurable parameters are In-Position, Within Window, Zero Speed, Speed Window, ± Current Limit, Up To Speed, Drive Enabled, Bus Charged, Disabling Motion, In Motion, In Dwell, Sequence Complete, Registered, At Home and Axis Homed.
This drive comes with a single RS232 interface located at the J5 connector. This port can be used to communication with programming workstation for configuration of the drive. It also has J1 terminal for designated for drive enable and reset fault inputs and external 12-24VDC power supply. Encoder connection is terminated at terminal J2 and incoming supply is wired to terminal strip TB1.
