The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-009X-DN is an Ultra 100 Series Digital Servo Drive. Its continuous input current of 9A, a single-phase input RMS nominal voltage between 88 and 265V DC, and an input AC frequency between 47 and 63Hz to produce a 5A continuous current and a 15A peak current. The 1398-DDM-009X-DN produces a continuous power of 1000W. This drive, combined with a brushless servo motor, produces a torque between 1.5lb.in and 22.5lb.in and it produces a peak torque between 4.3lb.in and 63lb.in. The 1398-DDM-009X-DN weighs 4.5lbs. The motor sources its power from the AC input, but an external DC supply can also power the drive. Whether the source is alternating current or direct current, the I/O requires input power. The 1398-DDM-009X-DN Digital Servo Drive relies on an external power supply for an input-output DC voltage ranging between 12 volts and 24 volts. The drive has a DeviceNet interface card to enable the connectivity of the drive to a DeviceNet network, which is the interface of connectivity between a “smart device” like push buttons, drives, motor starters, sensors and simple operator interfaces to programmable controller’s single cables. With a default baud rate of 125kps, the DN consumes a power of 60 milliamperes. The 1398-DDM-009X-DN Drive also comes with the Allen-Bradley 9101-1517 AC line filter. The RS-232 and RS-485 are serial communication ports of the drive with baud rates of between 1200 baud and 19,200 baud to address not more than 32 drives.
