The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-010X ULTRA 200 digital servo drive allows users to digitally control the position and current of the machines. Users can easily interface with the machine and control the machine mode via the 1398-DDM-010X’s digital and analog inputs and the output interface. The digital and analog interface allows users to program the drive to meet specific applications. The digital I/O interface of the 1398-DDM-010X allows easy programming by a PC via a J1 connector and provides a 24 Volts or 5 Volts DC control to external devices. It also has 5 current sourcing, optically isolated, selectable digital inputs (INPUT 1, INPUT 2, INPUT 3, INPUT 4, FAULT RESET), with one ENABLE input channel that enables and disables the drive, and the torque can never be applied unless the ENABLE input channel is activated.
The 1398-DDM-010X has two discrete digital output channels “4 selectable transistor based output and 2 dedicated relay outputs”. It also has one analog input and output channels. The analog outputs are the current limiting input (which supports a 0 to 10 Volts control signal, and a command input with a 0 to 10 Volts control signal). The analog output channel of the 1398-DDM-010X comprises the Analog 1 and the Analog 2 output interface. The 1398-DDM-010X has an operational temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) and an operational shock rating of 15G with operation vibration of 2G at 10 to 200 Hertz. It is uniquely designed to maintain optimum function at an altitude of 1500 meters (5000 feet) without de-rating, but will only de-rate at 3% for every additional 300 meters. It has an auxiliary input voltage range of 100 to 240 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz and a main voltage input rating at a 100 to 240 Volts AC range, with 10A RMS current at 47 to 63 Hertz. The 1398-DDM-010X has a BUS voltage rating between 141 and 339 Volts DC, at 41J BUS energy absorption. It has a continuous output power of 1 kW at 240 Volts AC and will peak at 2.5 kW under the same condition. It has a weight of 5.80 kilograms (13.78 pounds) and 360.6 x 104.1 x 226.8 millimeters ((14.2 x 4.10 x 8.93 inches) shipping dimensions. It has 512KB of user memory with a 20-year retention policy for program storage, and 34 KB of RAM for the application process.
