The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-019-DN is a digital servo drive belonging to the Ultra 100 Servo Drive Series of the drives with DeviceNet-019-DN. It weighs around 4.4lb when the DeviceNet module has been added. The DeviceNet connector is 5-pin and open-style. A single cable serves as a conduit of communication to the “smart” equipment such as push buttons, simple operator interfaces, drives, sensors, and motor starters from a programmable controller in the DeviceNet network. The 1398-DDM-019-DN Drive can handle a large variety of drives. It can also be adjusted to become either an indexing, stepper, master encoder followers, or velocity servo drive. The DN, whose default baud rate is 125kps, makes it possible to reprogram and command the drive remotely. The DN consumes 60mA of power. Microcontrollers perform the digital management of the current, position, and velocity.
The 1398-DDM-019-DN Drive can be combined with the motor line of a brushless servo to produce a torque between 1.5lb.in and 22.5lb.in and a peak torque between 4.3lb.in and 63lb.in. and the servo drive weighs 4.5lbs. The motor sources power from the AC input and it can also use an external DC supply. The 1398-DDM-019-DN Drive needs a continuous input current of 18A and an input from a single-phase RMS nominal voltage between 88 and 265V DC, which is equivalent to between 100 and 240V AC. These inputs, when combined with an input frequency between 43 and 63 hertz, produce a continuous current and power of 10A and 2000W. Its peak output current is 30A.
