The 1398-DDM-020X is part of the Ultra 200 Digital Servo Drive product family. This servo drive is used to control the rotation of a partner servo motor to implement position or motion control, commonly used in the manufacturing industry such as product assembly lines, sorting stations, product handling, and similar areas. This programming workstation communicates over the RS232 programming port and establishes a connection to the servo drive via the J4 terminals, 2 (Receive), 3 (Transmit), and 5 (Common) terminals. Other terminals of the 1398-DDM-020X include J1 terminal assembly which is used to dictate motor rotation direction, enable the drive, reset and turn on the drive. The J2 terminal is assigned for encoder connection while 3 TBI terminal arrays are also provided to accommodate motor power wiring, drive input voltage for 1-phase and 3-phase sources. The 1398-DDM-020X requires an input supply voltage of 120VAC / 240 VAC, 1-Phase, 50-60 Hz, and an input current of 19 Amperes. The 1398-DDM-020X comes with a 512 KB factory-built user parameter memory designed to store drive parameters for up to 20 years and with a 34 KB RAM with 128 KB flash memory. It has a carrier frequency of 10 kHz/5 kHz, modulated for digital PI current control. It also has a digital PID speed regulation with 16-bit resolution and +/-2 RPM at a 1000 RPM ripple. The 1398-DDM-020X also has a digital and a PID (with Feed-forward) position regulation capacity. It has an AC input voltage rated at 100 to 240 Volts AC, with a 19 Amps input current at a 47 to 63 Hertz frequency, and with an auxiliary input rating of 100 to 240 Volts AC input voltage at a 47 to 63 Hertz frequency.
