The 9101-1531 (1398-DDM-005) Ultra 100Digital Servo Drive by Allen-Bradley is a single-axis and positioning servo drive used for a wide range of industrial motor control applications. The drive offers a 7.5A peak output current with 0.5KW output power and requires a 3-phase input voltage ranging between 100 and 240V AC at 47-63Hz with a 5A input current. The 9101-1531 also has a bus voltage of 141-339V DC, with an energy absorption of 38 Joules and a capacitance of 1410uF. It provides current control via a digital PI with back EMF compensation and velocity and positioning through a Digital PID with feed-forward capacity. The drive has 4 selectable optically-isolated 12-24V DC digital inputs configured for various operational commands and it has 2 selectable optically-isolated 12-24V DC digital outputs with short-circuit protection also configured for various output commands. The 9101-1531 also has a dedicated optically-isolated 12-24V DC input configured for ENABLE and FAULT RESET control and a dedicated digital relay output also configured for Ready/Not Faulted and Brake Output controls. The 9101-1531 drive has a 10-bit 0-10V current limiting analog input and a ±10V DC user programmable analog output. The drive has a 1MHz differential encoder output with selectable 1, ½, ¼, and 1/8 rates, and it provides motor feed-back via an incremental encoder. The 9101-1531 uses a 20-pin (for J2) and 50-pin (for J1) high-density Mini D control and feedback connector, and it provides a motor overload protection of 200% overload for 8 minutes and one of 600% for 20 seconds.  The 9101-1531 has a base serial RS-232 port with a 1,200-19,200 baud transmission rate for connection to a serial network with multiple addressing capabilities for up to 32 drives. The drive has an operational temperature range between -5 and 55 0C (23 and 131 0F) at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity and it is built for use at a maximum height of 1500m (5000ft) without de-rating. The 9101-1531 weighs around 1.68kg (3.7lb), with net dimensions of 198.12mm x 72.60mm x 146.05mm (7.8in x 2.86in x 5.75in) and it is UL, c-UL, and CE-certified.
