The Allen-Bradley 9101-1629 is an indexing 1398 series AC Servo Drive that is also known as the 1398-DDM-020X drive and is part of the ULTRA 200 series that is compatible with the F-Series, H-Series, Y-Series, and N-Series of brushless servo motors. The 9101-1629 drive works with N-Series motors, namely the N-3406-2-H00AA, N-3412-2-H00AA, and N-4214-2-H00AA motors, the F-4030-Q-H00AA F-Series motor, and with the H-series motors like the H-3016-N-H00AA and H-4030-P-H00AA motors. This drive can be used as a velocity servo drive, an indexing drive, a master encoder follower, or a stepper drive. Users can also use the 9101-1629 drive for hosting command protocol, which allows them to set up multiple drives. Control loops of the 9101-1629 drive feature velocity, torque, and position control modes, with all the loops being digital.

With a built-in power supply, the 9101-1629 drive features 4 dedicated inputs and outputs (2 each for the input and output) and a total of 8 digital inputs and outputs, 4 each for the input and output, which are user-selectable and optically isolated. This drive has a nominal input power of 100 to 240V AC RMS, a frequency of 47 to 63 Hz, a peak output current of 20 A, as well as a continuous input current of 19 A. It also has an internal continuous current of 10 A, an internal continuous shunt power of 50 A, and an internal continuous output power of 2 kW.
