The Allen-Bradley 9101-2188 speed regulation system is one that integrates the highest performance sinusoidal brushless motor velocity and a programmable position regulator into one package. The common motion regulator architecture leverages separate drive and position regulation modules, with the analog interface within the individual components. This drive makes use of microprocessor technology to ensure an excellent control of both velocity and position with one processor, eradicating the need for the analog interface. Also, the 9101-2188’s single processor does away with the complications associated with analog circuitry like the offset and thermal drift.
Both the position control and velocity control are digitally closed so that gain parameters are stocked as numeric to ensure repeatable outputs through the process from one regulator to the other. The 9101-2188 can also be employed as a distributed engine control gadget integrated with the host computer in flexible automation system or rather as a programmable stand-alone speed regulator. The electronic gearing component permits the closed-loop axis to come after the second encoder programmable ratio. The multi-axis addressing model permits multiple drives to be regulated from the host computer over one serial communication link. The 9101-2188 has a wide range of vital features that allow it to help the users achieve the best functionality. The positioning drive module regulates the position, velocity, and torque of the motor. The drive also comes with the personality module which plugs into the ULTRA Plus PDM device to match the regulator with the motor which is being used. There is also the brushless motor alongside the feedback from the integral motor encoder.
