The Allen-Bradley 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller is a very compact and highly efficient soft motor starter which provides intelligent microprocessor control for 3-phase squirrel-cage induction motors. The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller belongs to the SMC Dialog Plus family of smart motor controllers which are designed to meet the motor control needs of most high-performance industrial applications, and they feature digital adjustment for precise and accurate motor control. The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller has a 3-phase input range of 200 to 480 Volts AC (at 50 to 60 Hertz), and a nominal current rating of 135 Amps at 480 Volts AC (or at 100 to 240 Volts AC control voltage). Its power circuit has a rated dielectric withstand of 2200 Volts AC and a peak inverse voltage rating of 1400 Volts AC. It has the line and load-side protective module consisting of a metal oxide varistor (MOV), which provides protection against transient voltage.
The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller offers highly advanced motor protection features like electronic motor overload protection, stall protection, jam detection, under-voltage and overvoltage protection, and the dynamic phase rebalances which automatically compensate for voltage unbalance by adjusting the voltage output to balance the motor current. The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller offers 4 standard motor start modes within a compact package. It also has a pump control option for reducing surges via the smooth acceleration and deceleration of motors in centrifugal pump applications. The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller has a built-in LCD and a keypad for viewing and controlling various functions, and it can also be controlled remotely via the built-in SCANport that allows for connection to an HMI (human-machine interface) and communication modules. The 150-B135NBDB-8B smart motor controller has 3 hard auxiliary contacts that can be configured for normal/fault control and normal/up-to-speed control. It has an open-type of enclosure and it is designed for use in a temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
