The Allen-Bradley 150-B135NCR SMC Dialog Smart Motor Controller is an intelligent solid-state motor starter which is used for providing microprocessor starting for 3-phase induction motors. It has a modular design that comprises a self-containing control module and a power module installed on a heatsink. This control module provides microprocessor-controlled operation, including SCR pulse firing. The 150-B135NCR has a nominal current rating of 135 Amps, with a 3-phase voltage class of 200 to 575 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency, and it has an output power range of 5 to 100 Horsepower at 480 Volts AC. To accommodate a wide variety of applications, the 150-B135NCR is designed with 2 and 3-wire configuration, and it is also designed to provide a soft start with a selectable kick-start, a current limit start, a dual ramp start, and a full voltage start mode as the standard starting modes. It has a 24 Volts AC/DC integral control circuit, with UL-rated terminals on the front panel, and it also has 3 fully programmable auxiliary contacts, which is pre-configured for normal or for up-to-speed use.
The control module also has an SCR firing circuit with an embedded RC network which prevents abnormal SCR firing, and the entire module is a mounted power module that can be removed anytime without disengaging the circuit board assemblies. The 150-B135NCR has a 135 Amp rated power module mounted on a heatsink with an SCR peak repetitive inverse voltage of 1600 Volts, and with a dielectric withstand of 2200 Volts. It is designed to provide power loss, line fault, voltage unbalance, under-voltage, and overvoltage protection, stall and jam detection, and Class 10 overload protection as standard protection features. For the adjustment of digital parameters, the 150-B135NCR has a built-in keypad with a front panel Alpha-Numeric backlit LCD, and it also has a built-in serial communication port for communication with other devices. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, and it can be used within a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 95%. The 150-B135NCR has an average weight of 11.8 kilograms (26 pounds), with total mounting dimensions of 336 x 248 x 256 millimeters (13.2 x 9.8 x 10.1 inches), and it has the CE, CSA, CCC, and c-UL-us certifications.
