The 150-B240NCD is an SMC Dialog Plus controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller is part of Series A of the SMC Dialog plus controllers. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller features a 240 Amps current rating, 460 Volts AC input line voltage at 50 to 60 Hertz, 3-phase configuration, 5 to 200 Horsepower of output power, and it is solid-state in nature. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller is housed in an open enclosure. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller controls the temperature of SCRs via its internal thermistors. The SCR firing mechanism is inhibited when the maximum rated temperature of the power poles is reached. The fault is corrected after the SCR temperature is reduced to suitable levels. The current detecting capability of the Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller is deactivated during bypass operations. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller features the soft stop control option design for use in applications which require an extended coast-to-rest stopping method.

The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller features the smart motor braking option which is applicable in applications that need minimized stopping times. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller integrates with a microprocessor-based system which incorporates a braking current to a typical squirrel-cage induction motor. The smart motor braking option allows the users to adjust the braking current setting from 0 to 400% of the motor’s full-load current rating. When the Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller is wrongly installed, it may damage components or reduce the product’s lifespan. The interior temperature of the Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller’s enclosure should be kept within a 0 to 50 degrees Celsius temperature range. The ventilation outlet should be positioned at least 6 inches above the Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller while the ventilation inlet is positioned relatively close to the bottom of the enclosure. The Allen-Bradley 150-B240NCD Dialog controller should be located in a position which enhances airflow vertically through the power device. To prevent the entry of contaminants in the enclosure, a filter is provided.
