The Allen-Bradley 150-B24NBDD-J1 is an SMC Dialog Plus Smart Motor Controller with SMB and Pump Control options. The voltage requirement for this device is between 200 and 480 Volts AC. It can deliver 5.5 kW to 11 kW, respectively. Three phases are used for the operation of this device and it comes with dual operational frequency, 50 to 60 Hertz. The 150-B24NBDD-J1 combines traditional and rugged control methods with the most modern and efficient ones to provide flexible control to three-phase industrial motors and pumps. The 150-B24NBDD-J1 can be used for standard applications, but this solid-state device is specially designed to give the maximum in pump based applications. Its advantage, when compared to standard models of SMC Dialog Plus controllers, is in special smooth acceleration and deceleration methods that reduce surges during the starting and stopping of a centrifugal pump.
This module is equipped with the microprocessor which evaluates the motor variables and then controls the motor’s output frequency and voltage to perfectly reduce the possibility of surges happening in your system. The user can enter starting time in the range of 0 to 30 seconds over an integrated LCD display. The stopping time is also programmable in the range of 0 to 120 seconds. An additional feature of the 150-B24NBDD-J1 is Smart Motor Braking (SMB) that implements faster motor braking. This solution is integrated into the device, and there is no need for braking contactors and speed sensors. The controller should be kept in a dry environment and away from electrostatic discharge. The device has been certified with IEC, UL, and CSA.
