The Allen-Bradley 150-B35NBD Smart Motor Controller is a solid-state intelligent motor starter from the Bulletin 150 Dialog Plus series of smart motor starters which provide microprocessor based starting for 3–phase induction motors. As standard features, the 150-B35NBD controller offers the Soft Start, Dual Ramp, Full Voltage Start, and Current Limit Start, and it offers simple and easy field configuration via its front fixed keypads and LCD. The 150-B35NBD has a 200 Volts AC to 460 Volts AC (3-phase) voltage class, with a nominal output current of 35 Amps that is suitable for applications with an output rating ranging from 1 Horsepower to 25 Horsepower. This starter comes without a rated enclosure, but it has a modularly designed control module and a power module which are self-contained and required for smooth operation. The control module contains the logic unit which coordinates and controls all the operation of the controllers, and it has an integral self-tuning power supply that is capable of receiving 100 to 240 Volts AC control power.

The control module also has an SCR firing circuit, it is embedded with an RC network which helps to prevent unusual SCR firing, and it has latch circuitry connected to the control circuitry, which allows for 2 and 3-wire control wiring. The 150-B35NBD has a 200 to 480 Volts AC power module, which has 1400 Volts peak inverse voltage, and an IEC rated 6000 Volts impulse voltage. The power is mounted on a heatsink which provides temperature control. The 150-B35NBD has built-in protection against phase imbalance, undervoltage, overvoltage, overloads, under loads, and stalling, and it has jam detection. It has 3 fully programmable auxiliary contacts, which can be field-configured for normal, up-to-speed, or fault detection. The 150-B35NBD has a functioning ambient range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit), and it is stored within –20 to 75 degrees Celsius range. The 150-B35NBD weighs approximately 6.8 kilograms, and it has a total mounting volume of 240.0 x 214.0 x 195.0 millimeters.
