The 150-B35NBDA smart motor controller is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation smart motor controller from the SMC Dialog Plus series. The Allen-Bradley 150-B35NBDA SMC Dialog Plus Smart Motor Controller is an intelligent motor starter in the SMC Dialog Family of microprocessor-based controllers which provide digitally controlled starting for 3-phase induction motors. This starter comes with an open enclosure design and with modularly built control and power modules, and like every starter in the series, it offers easy field installation. The 150-B35NBDA has a nominal output rating of 35 Amps, with a 3-phase voltage class of 200 to 460 Volts AC, and it is designed for applications with 1 to 25 Horsepower of output. It features 4 standard starting modes (the soft start with a selectable kick-start, current limit start, full voltage start, and the dual ramp start), and an additional soft stopping option within a single package. The 150-B35NBDA has a front panel programming keypad which allows for the digital adjustment of operation parameters, and it also has an integral alphanumeric backlight LCD, which provides full diagnostics, status, monitoring, and controller setup via plain descriptive text. It also has a serial communication port which provides an easy interface to the optional communication modules and human-machine interface modules (HMIs).
The 150-B35NBDA has 2 and 3-wire wiring control that is designed to accommodate a full range of applications, and it also has as standard, 3 programmable auxiliary contacts (NC/NO) which is configured for up-to-speed and normal operation and for fault detection. It has power circuitry with up to 1400 Volts of peak inverse voltage protection, and with a UL dielectric withstand of 2200 Volts.  It also has a control circuit capable of receiving 100 to 240 Volts AC control voltage, and as SCR firing circuitry with an embedded Snubber network. The 150-B35NBDA has built-in protection against overloads, under loads, over temperature, over voltage, under voltage, voltage imbalance, and phase reversal, and it has jam detection. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, with 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, and it is stored within a temperature range of –20 to 75 degrees Celsius. It has an average shipping weight of 15 pounds with total shipping dimensions of 9.5 x 68.4 x 7.7 inches, and it is c-UL-us, CCC, CE, and CSA certified.
