The 150-B500NBDB from Allen Bradly is a solid state SMC Dialog Plus controller with 500 Amps and 4 to 400 Horsepower output rating at 460 Volts AC input. Â Its three-phase input voltage specifications are from 200 to 460 Volts AC (at 50 and 60 Hertz). Â The control module on the 150-B500NBDB requires a 100 to 240 Volts AC power supply. The 150-B500NBDB can be configured through a built-in keypad with LCD display. The soft start (with selectable kickstart), dual ramp start, current limit start and full voltage start are some of the standard start modes available on the 150-B500NBDB. The optional pump feature control is provided on the 150-B500NBDB; pump control starting period can be set from 0 to 30 seconds and stopping period can be set from 0 to 120 seconds. The objective of the pump control mode is to minimize surges during start/stop phases of centrifugal pumps through smooth acceleration/deceleration of the motors. An onboard microprocessor analyzes various variables and subsequently, issues commands for motor control, which reduce chances of surges in the motor.
The 150-B500NBDB supports many protection features including electronic motor overload protection, stall and jam protection, under-voltage/over-voltage protection, under-load protection and voltage unbalance protection. A built-in energy saver feature enables saving on energy with light loads or when the motor is unloaded for long time durations. The energy saving feature does not require additional wiring or a complex setup procedure. The open 150-B500NBDB weighs 90 pounds and its dimensions are 23.17 x 20 x 12.23 inches.
