The 150-B54NBD is an SMC Dialog Plus controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This smart motor controller control voltage range is around 100 to 240 Volts AC, 3-Phase, 240 to 460 Volts AC input voltage, 40 Horsepower, and 54 Amperes. It has various modes of operation that provide speed and braking control for a broad range of low voltage motors. A built-in backlit LCD displays parameters and the operating status of the 150-B54NBD Dialog Plus Controller and it supports keypad programming as well remote programming through a handheld Human-Module Interface. Metering components on board the 150-B54NBD Dialog Plus Controller provide information on its continuous Ampere, kilowatt per hour, power factor, elapsed time, and motor thermal capacity usage.

An isolation contactor is not required during the installation of the 150-B54NBD Controller and it only requires a converter module when powered by a generator. A range of protective features are incorporated into this controller to protect against electronic motor overload, jam detection, stall protection, and other fault conditions. The 150-B54NBD Dialog Plus controller has the capacity to rebalance the current drawn by the motor by using a Cat. No. 150-NFS fanning strip and an 825-converter module. It features SCANport communication that allows for its configuration via Allen-Bradley Remote Input/output and other communication modules. The 150-B54NBD controller supports 2- and 3- wire control for different applications. It features power and control terminals that afford easy installation. Overload currents at 120% of a connected motor full load capacity triggers its trip mechanism.
