The 150-B54NBDC is an SMC Dialog Plus Controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This Solid State Controller/Soft starter is rated 40 Horsepower, 460 Volts AC input, 50 to 60 Hertz, 100 to 240 Volts AC control Voltage, and it weighs 6.804 kilograms. This controller is suitable for providing speed and braking control for three-phase AC motors within its rating and it offers high-performance protective and diagnostics features to protect itself and connected equipment. An LCD display on the front panel of the 150-B54NBDC SMC Dialog Plus Controller provides a clear parameter identification and it also features a keypad including up/down arrows, escape, and enter buttons for programming the controller. It features three auxiliary contacts two of which are programmable for Normal/Up-to-Speed and the remaining 1 is programmable for Normal/Fault.

The Preset Slow Speed is the control option available for the 150-B54NBDC controller. It features an Open enclosure and offers simple installation options that allow the user to easily integrate it into intelligent speed control systems without hassle. It also allows the user to determine the allowed number of starts per hour and this figure can reach 99. This has the advantage of protecting the motor against the stress that results from excessive repeated starts within a short period. All Dialog Plus controllers including the 150-B54NBDC can be connected without an isolation contactor.  DriveTools programming and a Cat. No. 1203-GD2 communication module can be used to download parameter values to the controller. In addition to this, a serial port on board the 150-B54NBDC controller allows for the connection of HMIs and communication modules.
