The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 40382-805-01 Kit is an SMC Dialog Plus Replacement Interface Board Kit with a low-voltage soft starter. The device accepts a range DC voltage levels, ideally between 7 and 12 Volts DC, which provide signal level conversation to either RS-485/422 or RS-232 signals because many applications interface by using RS485/RS422 or RS-232 signals in things like radio modems to connect to existing systems. The interface board module requires a regulated power supply and a CMOS (0 to 5 Volts) or TTL (0 to 3 Volts) level serial interface. Because of its wide use in PC desktop computers and laptops, it is equipped with a USB port (p/n: XIB-U, XTIB-U, and XBIB-U) that can draw power from an external power supply.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 40382-805-01 SMC Dialog Plus Replacement Interface Board Kit has current ratings ranging between 180 and 360 Amps with a USB multi-step motor for efficient control. It supports 6 control interfaces that include the TTL serial, I2C, USB, analog potentiometer, and Radio Control (RC) interfaces. Additional features include a TI DRV8825 driver that comes with soldered header pins and terminal blocks when it ships. The 40382-805-01 Kit can deliver up to approximately 1.5 Amps of current for every phase without overheating, and it can deliver 2.5 Amps of current with a proper cooling system. The operating voltage ranges between 4.5 and 35 Volts with a maximum continuous current per phase of 1.5 Amps.
