The Allen-Bradley 40382-809-03 module is a power module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the SMC Dialog Plus Renewal Parts series. This module has a line voltage of 200 to 480 Volts and an SMC rating of 180 Amps. The SMC Dialog Plus controller series, including the 40382-809-03 module, is designed to provide a wide range of standard starting modes, including the Dual Ramp Start, Full Voltage Start, Current Limit Start w/selectable Kickstart, and the Soft Start w/selectable Kickstart. Other notable features of this Allen-Bradley part include communication compatibility, metering, and expanded protective features. The innovative stopping and starting options for this module are intended to offer enhanced performance. The 40382-809-03 power module uses the Slow Speed with Braking, Accu-Stop, SMB Smart Motor Braking, Preset Slow Speed Soft Start, and Pump Control stopping modes.

The Allen-Bradley 40382-809-03 Power Module and the entire SMC Dialog Plus controller series provides power to 3-phase squirrel cage motors with power ratings including 1 to 1000 Amps of current, 200 to 480 Volts AC or 200 to 600 Volts AC voltage, and 50/60 Hertz frequency. The specific controller or power module that is used will allow control power inputs of 100 to 240 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC/AC. When the control power input for a given module such as the 40382-809-03 power module is 100 to 240 Volts AC, then the controller's microprocessor will adjust itself to the input control voltage. Additionally, the modules all have an energy saver feature that is used in applications where a motor is unloaded or lightly loaded for longer periods.
