The 150-F43NBDB is part of Allen-Bradley’s Smart Motor Controller (SMC) series. It is specifically an SMC Flex motor controller, more commonly known as a soft-starter device, providing a safe and efficient method of starting and stopping a Squirrel cage of Delta-connected Six-lead AC motor. It also helps to prolong the operation of the connected AC operator, minimizing the mechanical, electrical, and thermal stress brought by sudden starting, stopping, or change of motor rotation direction. The 150-F43NBDB is a panel-mounted device. It must be mounted within an enclosure that offers protection against corrosive gasses and vapors, water, airborne contaminants, and metal filings. The minimum enclosure size that the 150-F43NBDB requires is 406 mm (16 inches) for height; 305 mm (12 inches) for width and 203 inches (8 mm) for Depth. The 150-F43NBDB comes with standard starting and stopping functions such as Soft Start, Kickstart, Current Limit, Pump, Control, Dual ramp start, Full Voltage Start, Coast, Soft Stop, and Smart Motor Braking. It accepts an input line voltage of 300 Horsepower at an input line voltage of 200-460 Volts AC, 3-Phase, along a frequency of 50 / 60 Hertz. It has a control voltage of 100-240 Volts AC. This controller can be specifically used with standard squirrel-cage induction motor or with a Wye-Delta Six-Lead motor. It has an open-type enclosure and supports panel mounting.
