The 2098-DSD-005-SE Ultra 3000 Servo Drive with SERCOS Interface by Allen-Bradley is a drive designed for a wide range of motion control applications and industrial applications requiring either simple or complex motion profiles. The drive has input ratings of 100-240V AC input voltage (Single Phase) and 5A input current. The 2098-DSD-005-SE also has an output rating of 7.5A (intermittent) with a BUS capacitance of 1410 ?F and a BUS overvoltage protection at 400V DC. It has 0.5 kW power output at 230V AC with 38 Joules Energy Absorption Capability and it dissipates 48W heat when functional. Its circuit is protected by Class CC (FNQ-R-6), and Class J (LPJ-6SP) 230V AC busman fuses, and it can communicate serially via the RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 communication port. The 2098-DSD-005-SE is installed to the enclosure sub-panel via the mounting holes provided to this drive. The drive’s supported orientation is vertical only and requires 50.8 millimeters or 2.0 inches top clearance; 12.7 millimeters or 0.5 inches side clearances. For bottom clearance, the minimum clearance is 50.8 millimeters or 2.0 inches clearance; however, the required cable bending radius must be met. This clearance can be further increased to meet both requirements.
