The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive is a high-performance Kinetix digital servo drive that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It operates with 480 Volts AC of input voltage, 47 to 63 Hertz of input frequency, 4 Amps of input current, and 3 Kilowatts of continuous power output at the rated input voltage. The bus capacitance of the drive is 470 microfarads and the internal shunt resistance rating is 120 Ohms. Its communication interface is the SERCOS interface. It weighs 18.8 pounds. The SERCOS interface integrates the servo drive with the ControlLogix platform. It also has the DeviceNet networking option. The 2098-DSD-HV030 Drive provides several operating speeds that can be selected by using digital inputs of the drive.

The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive can be easily integrated with different Allen-Bradley machine control architectures. It comes with standard high-density D-shell connectors. This servo drive has solid-state motor overload protection that predicts the operating temperature of the motor by an algorithm called thermal memory. It has optional accessories such as drive-mounted breakout boards, panel-mounted breakout boards, shunt modules, AC line filters, and external auxiliary encoders. The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive consists of eight selectable general-purpose inputs and four selectable general-purpose outputs. It is compatible with a wide variety of Allen-Bradley servo motors including the MP series medium inertia motors, food-grade motors, stainless steel motors, and the TL series low inertia motors. Its digital velocity and current loops provide stable performance in applications that require accurate velocity control. The drive can be used with PLC, PC-based, or stand-alone motion controllers.
