The Allen Bradley Ultra5000 2098-IPD-005-DN is the lowest Power model, DeviceNet enabled AC Servo drive in the family of Ultra5000 Programmable, high speed, high precision, Intelligent Positioning Drives.
The 2098-IPD-005-DN is fed with a 230 Volt AC single phase input and can drive a 3-phase servo motor with a Continuous Power Output of 500 Watts, which is sufficient for driving small servo motors that are typically found in low end motion control Applications like packaging, filling, pick & place, Small CNC routers, etc.
The Ultra5000 2098-IPD-005-DN provides a plethora of GPIO with 16 optically isolated 12 to 24 Volt DC digital inputs, 7 optically isolated 12 to 24 Volt DC loads, 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs packed with ADCs with a -10 to 10 Volt range and 12-bits of resolution.
The 2098-IPD-005-DN can be connected to Absolute, Sine/Cosine, Intelligent, and Incremental Encoders, with a maximum frequency of 2.5 MHZ per channel in case of TTL channel signals and 100 kHz in case of Sine/Cosine Input. The capture latency of the position is less than 1.0 μs and position-based calculation can be done in small time frame as low as 125 μs
DeviceNet Connectivity is available in 2098-IPD-005-DN, which means that online configuration and status monitoring can be completed for the drive from any remote controller, HMI or even SCADA/DCS system that supports the same communication protocol.
